Full Exclusive kit, Mind Control tax, Evils synergies, and memoria notes for Wrathful Assault.
Wrath (Assault) is the Battlepass Tier 50 Exclusive introduced with Anime Vanguards Wrath’s End (September 12, 2026). It is a Curse unit built to captain Evils teams: huge team amps, free placement conditions, upgrade mirroring, shield break, DoT synergy, crit linkage, and a signature active called The Power of Friends. It also turns against you on a timer. This page is the kit deep dive. Unlock route: How to Get Wrath (Assault). Team recipes: Evils Teams. Meta context: Support Units.

Role summary
- Primary role: Evils / Curse support enabler
- Secondary role: board damage via Despair, Destruction, splash crits, and amplified partner actives
- Not primarily: a Pride Sin solo carry (though buffed partners can be)
If you expected another Rogita-style lonely hypercarry, recalibrate. Wrath’s ceiling is team-shaped.
Core buffs
Wrath buffs Curse damage by about 50% and Evils units by about 80%, then adds roughly 50% more Evils damage per different element present on your unit bar. That last clause is the build rule: diversity is DPS. Five Evils units that share one element waste the design. Mix elements intentionally.
Free place and upgrade mirroring
Once another Evils unit is on the field, Wrath can be placed for free. When other Evils units upgrade, Wrath upgrades itself. These two rules make Wrath economical in long stages: spend yen on partners, and the Exclusive climbs with them. Opening priority becomes “Evils down first, Wrath second,” not “Wrath solo open.”
Offensive kit details
Attacks apply Despair and Destruction, remove shields, and deal extra damage to enemies already taking damage over time. That pushes you toward burn, bleed, and other DoT partners — Iscanur (Pride) style kits feel natural. When an Evils unit lands an elemental crit, a portion of that damage (about 10%) also hits every enemy in Wrath’s range. Wrath’s own crits help set up the next Evils attack crit, creating chain reactions on crit-built partners (Deadeye matters — Traits and Rerolls).
Active: The Power of Friends
The Power of Friends takes an Evils unit’s next damaging active, multiplies it by 4, and redirects that hit toward the enemy with the most health. Use it on boss spikes, not on empty trash waves. Communication in co-op helps so two players do not waste overlapping actives. Solo, bind the active somewhere you will not misclick during Mind Control panic.
Downside: Mind Control every 3 waves
Every 3 waves, Wrath can turn into a Mind Controlled enemy. Each time you defeat that form, it gains roughly 80% more damage for future turnings. After you defeat it 3 times, the betrayal stops and Wrath gains 100% crit chance going forward. Practical advice:
- Budget damage for the betrayal waves; do not soft-lock all yen into farms the wave before.
- Crowd control and burst windows matter more than on a normal support.
- Until the third defeat, treat Wrath as a powerful ally with a scheduled raid boss tax.
- After stabilization, the crit floor makes Deadeye partners and crit splash even stronger.
New Wrath owners should practice on easier content until the three defeats are muscle memory. Taking a fresh Wrath into Hard Wrath Event without rehearsing the tax is how boards collapse on wave 9.
Memoria: A Beast Plays
Claim A Beast Plays at Battlepass Tier 25 and level it. Exclusive memoria is part of the unit’s intended power budget. Feeding random generic memoria while A Beast Plays sits unleveled is a common mistake.
Best partners (start here)
- Iscanur (Pride) — Evils Fire carry with hour stacks and burn; exemplary DoT partner.
- Other Evils-tagged DPS / hybrid units in your box — prioritize different elements.
- Fortune farm — Wrath does not replace economy.
- Door / Holy Deceiver / Divalo — if they fit beside Evils without wrecking element counts, they stabilize clears.
Full composition logic is on Evils Teams.
Trait guidance for Wrath itself
Wrath’s value is mostly aura and active enablement. Still, personal damage and crit setup matter after Mind Control resolves. Consider:
- Deadeye if you want Wrath’s crits to fuel partner crit chains reliably
- Ethereal for general combat stats without Monarch placement drama
- Solar if range is the reason splash and aura uptime feel awkward
- Avoid dumping Monarch pity into Wrath before your actual carry is built
Spend the first Trait Reroll banks on the Evils carry Wrath exists to buff.
Familiars and shop note
Wrath Event familiars are unit-specific and cost 1,000 Wrath Coins. They do not replace Wrath; they empower other named units. Buy Iron Helmet / Holy Sword / etc. only for partners you play. Do not starve Trait Reroll shop purchases if your Evils carry still sits on Swift.
Progress checklist
- XP plan daily (How to Get Wrath (Assault)).
- Claim A Beast Plays at 25; level it.
- Claim Wrath at 50; shiny if premium.
- Slot at least one other Evils unit before judging Wrath “weak.”
- Diversify elements on the bar.
- Practice Mind Control waves.
- Use Power of Friends on high-HP targets.
- Cross-check ranking notes on Support Units.

Wrath (Assault) rewards players who read the kit. Free place, mirrored upgrades, elemental diversity, and scheduled betrayal are not flavor text — they are the rotation. Master them, and Evils stops being a tag and starts being a strategy.
